Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of projects in Townsville. This role is primarily office-based (90%) and plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction workflows. You will manage the entire project lifecycle using a fully integrated project management system and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing monthly WIP reports and handling other project-related financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed plans for each stage of the project.
- Coordinate projects to align with targets and objectives.
- Monitor progress to mitigate risks, maximize benefits, and control costs.
- Achieve financial goals by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects and variations.
- Conduct thorough analysis of all cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and monitor project budgets to ensure they align with forecasts.
Critical Skills & Attributes
- Qualification in project management.
- Experience in project management in construction.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle, techniques, and tools.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in project management software and spreadsheets.
- Experience in CoConstruct software would be highly advantageous.
