An established & successful Australian MSP is looking to add a Senior/Lead Service Desk Engineer to their Managed Services team.
This is a varied role, acting as the senior level escalation point for the service desk team as well as taking on leadership responsibilities in mentoring junior engineers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Service Desk / Support Engineer who has experience leading/mentoring engineers and wants to move into a more leadership focused position. With a pathway into management, this is a great opportunity to move away from technical further down the line.
What you will be doing:
- Acting as a technical escalation point for Service Desk Engineers, both locally and nationwide
- Lead, mentor, train Level 1 & 2 Engineers
- Provide technical guidance and expertise across Cloud, EUC, Systems, Networking & Infrastructure
- Maintain and improve operational documentation and processes
- Assist with projects where required
- Oversee the quality of service in accordance with SLAs
What you will need to succeed:
- 5+ years experience in IT Support
- Proven experience leading / mentoring engineers
- Previous experience in an MSP environment is highly regarded
- Highly motivated for leadership
- Strong technical experience in M365 stack (O365, Teams, SharePoint, Intune)
- Previous experience working within Azure environments
- Experience managing and supporting VMWare or Hyper-V
- Experience with routers, switches & firewalls (desirable)
- Industry certifications highly regarded
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
