Job Description Summary : We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager with experience across Consumer & Food to join our team and create standout work that will help make our clients famous. Working within our portfolio of brands, you will be working with some of the biggest and well-known brands in the country. This is an opportunity for someone with a passion for all things consumer and food to join our team to look after some of the biggest brands in the country, and the world across including major Consumer & Food brands.
THE ROLE
The Senior Account Manager works closely with Account Directors, Senior Account Directors and the Client Services Director to deliver the best quality work across client program development, implementation and reporting, meeting and exceeding campaign KPIs, and makes a positive contribution to identifying and securing new business for the agency. We need a self-starter, someone who is a can-do operator, can spot a good, earned story, and who has close media contacts.
This position reports to a Senior Account Director with whom the person will work with daily and requires accountability for personal and team outputs and outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and monitor clients’ business and industries to stay up to date on trends, developments and breaking issues.
- Own and drive strong relationships with clients, ensuring regular visibility with key contacts.
- Know each client’s objectives, perspectives, issues and requirements.
- Prepare basic communications and earned strategies for clients.
- Effectively present strategies and programs to clients.
- Prepare and regularly review detailed project/program plans.
- Achieve high levels of client satisfaction while maintaining agency profitability.
- Manage small-to-medium sized accounts in consultation with senior managers.

- Manage junior teams allocated to clients.
- Plan, write and present complex materials and presentations.
- Handle complex negotiations and manage client engagements.
- Demonstrate creativity in media relations and events.
- Develop high quality audience insights and communications plans.
Personal Application
- Uses verbal and non-verbal communication for workplace negotiation.
- Demonstrates initiative and proactivity.
- Successfully coordinates numerous tasks under pressure.
THE BASICS
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism (or similar) would be great (but not mandatory).
- A minimum five years full-time in agency or similar experience.
