About the Role:
The Director of Communications and Marketing is a key member of ISA’s Management Team, and whose primary role is to promote the organisation and its work by increasing its visibility and presence, ensuring all activity is informed by and aligned with ISA’s Strategic Plan.
This role will lead the development and implementation of our brand vision and oversee the organisation’s communications, print and digital media, web strategy and development, advice and coordination of all communications and marketing as required by the Executive Management Team and the broader organisation.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Developing a Communications Strategy to establish goals and objectives, a Communications Plan to outline the steps, resources, and parameters for implementing the strategy, and a Communications Content Calendar.
- Brainstorm initial ideas and carry them through to concept development and visualizations—ultimately taking the expression through to a system based on strategy, principles and final implementation.
- Manage the delivery of brand identities, printed and digital assets and brand manuals to our standard of excellence.
- Lead a small Communications Team working in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop communications content for use across all communications channels.
- Provide communications and engagement support for internal and external events, including webinars, conferences, forums, roundtables and hosting delegations.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and manage external supplier and vendor relationships, maintaining high standards throughout.
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality design across all projects.
- Monthly reports to the ISA executive on key communications activities and progress against Communications Plan.
The location of the role is open to applicants from all parts of Australia. There will be interstate travel required.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you must have a Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience. You must also be a curious thinker with the desire to challenge, surprise and stretch everyone around you and have a generous and collaborative nature, giving others space and encouragement to grow.
As an effective communicator (written & verbal), you will manage multiple projects across different mediums and channels. You will also have great attention-to-detail, with strong planning and organisational skills.
