Industrial & Employee Relations (Human Resources & Recruitment)
An exciting opportunity for an Advisor to join Newcastle Anglican on a 12 month contract with the possibility of ongoing. Working closely with the Employee Relations Manager, you will be responsible for providing high level advisory support to the wider P&C team.
You will work collaboratively with the P&C team to coordinate a range of HR functions, build effective workplace relations and assist in resolving industrial disputes and associated matters.

What are we looking for?
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances
- Maintain employee discipline and performance improvement processes
- Keep abreast of People & Culture related standards, legislation and practices relevant to HR, Community Services/ Aged Care and/or Not For Profit organisations
- Provide guidance for Team Leaders and Managers to develop their understanding and support effective compliance in areas such as Recruitment, Termination, Employee Movements and Employee Relations
- Assist with workplace and industrial relations matters
- Prepare, modify and review Employment Relations documents (i.e. drafting formal correspondence, coordinating and/or facilitating meetings)
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of individual employee details
- Record and file all employee development documentation, training and feedback
- Ensure established performance management processes are being followed and provide feedback to People & Culture Team, Team Leaders and Managers as required
- Assist with HR Projects where required
- Collate data and draft monthly HR reports
About you?
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or relevant field
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an HR Generalist or Advisory role
- Highly developed organisational skills, strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining positive and professional working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong initiative, discretion and tact and the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with issues of a sensitive or personal nature
- Collaborative and positive approach to your work and colleagues
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
