Your Role & Team
As our Finance Team continues to grow, we are excited to bring into the team a newly created role as a Accounts Receivable Officer .
Your role is integral to the financial well-being of our organisation, impacting everything from cash flow and customer relations to strategic planning and risk management. The Accounts Receivable Officer is vital in ensuring the organisation remains financially stable, operationally efficient, and well-positioned for continued growth.
This role reports directly to our Financial Controller and is a full-time opportunity offering hybrid working conditions based out of our Sydney CBD office.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Invoice Processing: Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Daily Bank Reconciliations: Manage and reconcile cash receipts from customers.
- Payment Collection: Follow up on outstanding payments through phone calls, emails, or other communication methods.
- Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts, ensuring that all payments are accurately recorded and matched with invoices.
- Credit Management: Assess and manage customer credit limits, monitor overdue accounts, and implement collection strategies to minimise bad debts.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports, and provide updates to management.
- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Data Entry: Maintain and update customer records, ensuring all information is current and accurate in the accounting system.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing issues and improve the invoicing process.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a passion for all things numbers. You’ll have the ability to work within set work schedules and timelines, solid prioritisation and organisational skills including speed, accuracy and attention to detail. Your computer software skills will be strong.
