As one of the largest Finance functions in Corporate Australia we provide opportunities across Corporate Finance, Shared Services, Commercial Finance, Capital Management, Financial Control, Operations Finance, Project Finance, M&A and Strategy and Planning.

The Woolworths Group Finance team is positioned to support change and continuous improvement across the business whilst continually focussing on providing excellent customer experiences to key stakeholders.
The Opportunity
Due to an internal move we have a Fixed-term contract opportunity for a Finance Business Analyst to make their mark in a true business partnering BA role. The role plays an integral part in supporting CustomerX and Group eComX across performance and people forecasting and reporting as well as working closely with the W-Digital finance team as part of reporting in an Agile environment.
This role also involves partnering with the Finance Enablement team as the CustomerX/Group eComX champion continually enhancing the process and transparency of FTE and people costs reporting.
What you'll do
- Provide understanding of business performance through regular, accurate and insightful reporting, in particular, Headcount and People related costs and financial performance.
- Accountable for the forecasting, budgeting and reporting of multiple overhead cost centres and is the key business partner to these cost centre owners.
- Key contact and go-to person for people cost budgeting and supporting Annual Planning cycle by working closely with Finance teams and business to provide relevant understanding and insight particularly around Headcount and Overheads planning.
- Support the FP&A Senior Analyst in design, setup and enhancements of the IBM Planning Analytics tool used for reporting.
- Look for opportunities to continuously improve by introducing innovative analysis, system efficiencies, improving processes and providing constructive challenge to all areas.
- Provide deep dive support and analysis on specific areas of focus as required.
What you'll bring - Relevant professional qualifications such as CA/CPA.
- 3+ years post qualified experience with exposure to corporate performance and planning role.
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and exert influence to deliver on commitments.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise team efforts to support business requirements.
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills - data visualisation techniques highly desirable.
- Analytical with problem solving skills.
- Experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, and Connected Sheets (Google).
