Fleet Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
Northfleet is a market-leading company in the transport, bus, crane, and vehicle hire industry, supplying solutions to customers throughout the Southwest, Perth, Pilbara, and regional Western Australia.
We are looking for an experienced Fleet and Damages Coordinator to join our friendly team in Hazelmere. You will be responsible for assisting the Damages Manager in ensuring the handling of damages or incidents are managed to the highest standards.
You will work closely with our operations teams to ensure seamless fleet operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of the department. You will also be responsible for ensuring medicals and certifications are current and booking training.
Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Monitor and coordinate the maintenance, servicing, and repair schedules for all company vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Damage Control: Assist in the management and assessment of vehicle damages, coordinating repairs with external vendors and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Incident Reporting: Document and report any accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles, working with insurance companies and internal teams to process claims.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, including tracking of vehicle usage, mileage, and servicing history.
- Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet regulatory and safety standards, including managing DOT registrations, inspections, and permits.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective solutions for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with fleet operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for fleet-related inquiries, providing support to Operations Managers and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and fleet management software.
- Valid driver’s license.
