Role:
Digital Business Analysts / Digital Business Consultant.
Location : Mumbai
Educational Background and Work Experience:
- Masters/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar degree
- At least 3+ years of experience in manufacturing industry
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on Digital Platforms/ Data Science
- Strong experience in business/operations process mapping and improvements.
- Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and business needs in technical specifications.
- Strong engineering knowledge of the related discipline is basic pre-requisite
- Good Communication Skills, able to generate feasible ideas for improvement
- Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, AI/ML, Image processing, Video analytics etc
- Good skills at converting business problems to Scope of work
- Good understanding of Data Science, cloud technologies.
Purpose:
- The position plays a crucial role in translating key business requirements and enabling the business with best in class Digital Solutions.
- They are responsible for analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and identifying opportunities for improvement or optimization using digital technologies such as data science, IoT etc
- Evaluate and identify the right solution, platforms, technologies etc in solving the business problems
- Identify the size of the opportunity through necessary process data analysis and establish a strong business case for Digital Intervention.
- Responsible for Standard architecture and ensure digital programs align with standard architecture making it suitable for faster scale up and horizontal roll-out.
- Build & nurture a suitable partner ecosystem.
Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators).
- Establish a business case for Digital Projects/ Use- cases and translating projects from Ideation to Execution to benefit realization
- Ensure delivery of projects in line with the business case and realization of value through good project design, timely execution, user adoption, change management & benefit realization.
- Infuse the right mix of innovation and technology in identifying the right use cases with the aim of improving productivity, sales, safety, cost, and process improvements
- Prepare the project scope and plan by interacting with various stakeholders and monitor project to meet the required timelines and budget
- Maintain the eco-system of partners (large consulting companies, technology consultants, start-ups and universities) to leverage their capabilities for the benefits of JSW Group agenda
- Constantly upskill and learn latest technologies and trends for the benefit of the business
- Take part in Digital Showcases, blogs, videos, training/reskilling, Demos, workouts etc.
Critical Tasks KRA’s and Key Activities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business managers, and end-users, to elicit and document business requirements related to digital projects and initiatives. This involves conducting interviews, workshops.
- Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization. Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making and create actionable recommendations. Give inputs & insights in preparing the business case / ROI calculation for any solution.
- Solution Design: Work with cross-functional teams, to design and propose digital solutions that align with business requirements. Translate business needs into clear and comprehensive functional specifications.
- Digital Transformation: Support and drive digital transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities for process automation, digital innovation, and technology adoption to enhance business efficiency and competitiveness.
- Business Process Mapping: Develop detailed process maps and workflow diagrams to illustrate current and future-state processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Project Management: Responsible for project planning, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.
- User Experience (UX) Analysis: Analyse and evaluate user experiences, interactions, and feedback to enhance digital products and services. Advocate for user-centric design and usability best practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project progress, requirements, and recommendations to various stakeholders, including non-technical business users and technical development teams.
- Quality Assurance: Support testing efforts by defining test cases and validating that developed solutions meet business requirements and are free from defects.
- Market and Industry Research: Stay up to date with digital trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing the organization's digital capabilities.
