The Application Support Engineer will operate in this space with technical expertise, hands-on supporting eTrading/Algo/Market Making/Position & Risk Management experience, fixed-income product knowledge, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1 support for in-house built Font Office Pricing/Risk/Algo compute platform.
- Provide L1 support for in-house Kx/KDB+ Refinery applications.
- Help build out monitoring and alert tools for our in-house applications.
- Help with release management and application deployment.
- Act as the support contact for internal and external clients.
- Work closely with platform developers, quants, and data analysts to troubleshoot any issue.
- Maintain good communication with all stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the issue.
- Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
- Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
Essential Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting real-time distributed financial application platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Linux OS, Linux commands, and shell scripts.
- Experience in monitoring tools like Grafana, Control-M, Splunk, and Prometheus.
- Advanced proficiency in determining the cause of application errors and repairing them.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Preferred:
- Pricing of fixed-income products like bonds, swaps, and derivatives
- Swap product curve construction and boost strapping.
- Position Risk & P&L.
- Algo trading.
- Experience in supporting the Kx/KDB refinery.
- Knowledge on Python language.
