The Pre-Sales Networking Engineer plays a crucial role in consulting, analyzing, designing, and supporting the implementation of networking projects. This position involves close collaboration with the sales team to identify both business and technical requirements for networking opportunities, including Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to assess and understand the technical needs for networking projects.
- Design and provide solutions based on a broad knowledge of multiple OEM products, such as Cisco, HP, Juniper, Extreme, and Force10.
- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) and solution designs incorporating various OEMs like Cisco, HP, and Juniper.
- Leverage expertise in the latest Cisco technologies to develop state-of-the-art networking designs.
- Prepare detailed solution documents and presentations tailored for customer engagement.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and vendor technical experts to ensure seamless technical coordination.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and expertise.
- Conduct network readiness assessments to ensure client environments are prepared for new solutions.
- Provide knowledge transfer, including detailed design and operational documentation, to both clients and internal teams.
- Occasionally participate in project implementation activities to support the deployment of networking solutions.
