Bradford Jacobs are currently supporting our client in their expansion into India and are looking for a Head of Development to join their organisation.

A procurement platform leverages cloud-based software and generative AI to transform non-strategic spend management. It enhances spend transparency, improves compliance, reduces third-party risks, and automates the source-to-pay process, streamlining procurement for greater efficiency.
About the role:
As Head of Development, you will lead the development team, drive technical decisions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable software. You’ll manage the full development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment, while fostering continuous improvement and staying ahead of emerging technologies. This strategic, hands-on role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership skills.
Requirements:
- Leadership & Team Management - Lead, mentor, and manage development teams, ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture with open communication and continuous learning. Address development challenges with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Technical Decision-Making & Strategy - Make architectural decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance applications aligned with business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. Oversee the selection and integration of technologies, tools, and frameworks to meet development needs.
- Code Quality & Best Practices - Set and enforce coding standards and review processes to ensure high code quality and consistency. Implement and maintain QA procedures, including automated testing, for reliable and high-performance software. Audit codebases and processes regularly to identify improvements and reduce technical debt.
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies - Monitor emerging technologies and evaluate their impact on projects. Lead the adoption of innovative solutions to address complex business problems and keep the organization competitive. Foster a culture of experimentation and creativity to explore and validate new ideas.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Communication - Serve as the main technical liaison for departments like product management and executive leadership, aligning development with business goals. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring project alignment. Collaborate with operations and DevOps teams for smooth deployments, system performance, and maintenance.
About you:
- Proven Leadership & Management skills.
- Bachelor's Degree desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills in English.
This is a full-time permanent position with an international company.
Beginning as a remote position moving to a hybrid model with the office location in Karnataka, India.
