The main responsibility is to drive and support change and continuous improvement of the R2R operations in the Finance Operations team in terms of organization, processes, controls and supporting systems.
Key Objectives
- The Senior R2R Lead will be responsible for Leading the Record to Report (R2R) team and its activities.
- This role will be overseeing a team of approx. 14-18 people within the Navi Mumbai Shared Service Center.
- This position will be reporting to the Local Regional Accounting Center (RAC)Manger.
- The countries in scope will be Europe, Middle East, Africa, India.
- The RTR Lead will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting rules and official guidelines for the EMEIA countries in Scope.
- The RTR Lead will drive process improvements, standardization, and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Record to Report function.
- Final review of balance sheet within the RAC for the participating Legal Entities, assuring IFRS compliance and compliance with company accounting and reporting rules, report accordingly to the respective LE’s.
- Accountable for the process of accurate account reconciliations of ledger and (sub) ledgers
- Ensures tax compliance both direct and indirect.
- Accountable for all accounting documentation (like A-forms, balance sheet reconciliation, and audit reports) and is first contact person for the accounting business partner from the respective BUs
- Based on the global instructions, implements new and complex IFRS rules, as well as accounting guidelines or procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Knowledge of Ariba , Service Now Workflow will be beneficial.
- Strong people management and leadership skills; managing development, performance and technical competencies of the team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills English (fluent)

The role will involve a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Leadership and People Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 14-18 individuals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manages performance of the team that meets established requirements of quality, quantity, completeness and timeliness
- Initiates the reshuffling of tasks between RAC team members where this is possible and would be more efficient than current set-up
Transformational Leadership:
- Drive and lead transformation initiatives within the R2R function, identifying opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and optimize R2R processes.
Process Optimization:
- Review and enhance existing R2R processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures to streamline month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls, actively participating in internal and external audits.
- Implement and monitor effective controls for financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Systems and Technology Integration:
- Partner with IT and other relevant stakeholders to drive R2R system enhancements and integration to optimize financial reporting processes.
- Leverage technology to automate manual tasks and improve data integrity within the R2R function.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Europe, Middle East , Africa, India , US, including Finance, Operations, and External Audit teams, to support financial reporting requirements and address queries.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday (Europe timings) with the possibility of additional hours during peak periods.
- This role may require occasional travel to different company sites or for professional development opportunities.
Essential Qualifications/Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, ICWA with a Proven experience of 12-14 years in a similar senior R2R leadership role within a shared service environment.
- Extensive knowledge of R2R processes, financial reporting, Internal and External Controls, SOX compliances , US and Europe compliance requirements.
- Experience in driving process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
