Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR compliance policies, ensuring alignment with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure the organization adheres to all labor law requirements, including employee safety, fair labor practices, anti-discrimination laws, and other workplace regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and documentation to ensure legal compliance and resolve any compliance-related issues.
- Advise management and employees on compliance-related matters, including employment laws, labor standards, and industry best practices.
- Manage and maintain employee records in accordance with regulatory requirements and ensure data privacy and protection.
- Oversee the development and implementation of employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with the legal department to ensure timely reporting and resolution of compliance issues.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and HR regulations, and proactively update policies and procedures as needed.
- Train and educate HR staff and other employees on compliance-related issues, policies, and procedures.
- Lead investigations into any reported violations of company policies or workplace regulations, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
- Ensure proper handling of employee disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions in line with compliance guidelines.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years focused on compliance and employment law.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Experience conducting HR audits and managing compliance programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Experience handling sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in HR compliance or labor laws (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
- Experience in a high-growth or e-commerce environment.
- Familiarity with international employment laws (for companies operating in multiple regions).
