POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager – India, our Sales Manager – India is responsible for the execution of the outlined Sales Strategy in their territories through sales development and account management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES DEVELOPMENT
- Manage the growth of the Domestic Sales portfolio through the acquisition of new clients
- Responsible for the new business budget of designated territories
- Regularly review territories and undertake market analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Build a pipeline of contracted future business and target future business
- Project manage group deal rollouts in designated territory
- Proactively lead, manage, and execute the entire Sales Lifecycle from introduction to first product delivery
- Able to identify and contact decision makers at hotels for in person meetings by use of and other relevant platforms to determine key persons
- Lead and deliver sales presentations to decision makers, focusing on hotel and brand alignment between brand and client.
️ ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Be across contracts for designated territories including start and end dates, renewal dates, agreed pricing structure, invoices corresponding to contracted prices, etc
- Lead product training sessions with new clients
- Identify upselling opportunities with existing hotel partners to drive revenue growth – assess product gaps, renewal opportunities, etc
- Ensure regular touch points/call cycles with hotel partners and be across any personnel changes that may impact the contract – strategically schedule meetings, calls, emails, and face to face interactions
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and clients through regular meetings, industry knowledge exposure, and celebrating key client wins
- Provide our Marketing Team key partnership opportunities within territory and collaborate to build events and activations
- Maintain detailed knowledge of VANITY GROUP’s brand portfolio and have contingency brand plans in place for hotel renewals
✏️ SALES ADMINISTRATION
- Create and maintain customer folders in Internal Drive
- Ensure Salesforce data has accurate records and detailed information on all client accounts
- When securing New Clients; forecast stock to Demand Planner
- When securing New Clients; ensure account, hotel, delivery and contact details are accurately set up and sent to SAP/Systems Team
- Review expiring and slow-moving inventory, and identify avenues where this can be sold
- Responsible for samples to be sent to clients in your territory along with tracking delivery
FINANCIALS
- Review current pricing with Pricing Team for designated territory and implement CPI increases where necessary
- Work with Pricing Team to provide quotations and Price Lists to new business development and existing clients.
- Develop monthly reporting to track sales to target and revenue growth
- When required, presentation of KPIs to upper management
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and motivational spirit with stakeholders at all times
- Working and collaborating with cross functional teams to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines
- Be a confident decision maker in situations of ambiguity and clearly conveying the reasoning for your decision
- Manage upwards, articulating delays/roadblocks to Head of Business Development Subcontinent with a solution focused approach
- Lead through the Company’s values, coaching, supporting, and providing feedback to the team when required
⭐ ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 3 -4 years proven experience in sales or account management role
- Previous proven experience in high pressure sales environment with FMCG, hospitality or beauty
- Working knowledge of Salesforce
- Advanced skills in MS Office with a focus on excel
- Previous experience in a high SKU/3PL environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
