The Hotel Director is the primary person responsible for the overall operation and management of the hotel. In a small hotel, the director oversees all operational areas, including reception, housekeeping, reservation management, and guest service. This role requires a combination of leadership, administrative, and customer service skills to ensure an exceptional guest experience and efficient hotel operation. Additionally, the director is responsible for strengthening sales and maximizing revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring compliance with quality and service standards.
- Manage and train staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability.
- Implement and execute sales and marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase bookings.
- Monitor and analyze sales results, adjusting strategies as needed to meet financial goals.
- Ensure a satisfactory guest experience by effectively handling complaints and resolving issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers and oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare performance and financial reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel management or a similar role.
- Experience in sales and marketing, with demonstrated skills in increasing bookings and maximizing revenue.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.
- Knowledge in budget management and cost control.
- Customer-oriented with strong conflict resolution skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
