Minimum Requirements:
- Extensive experience in commercial lending credit risk management roles within the banking industry including a Delegated Lending Authority (“DLA”)
- Thorough understanding of industry best practice credit risk measurement techniques
- Sound and current knowledge of regulatory requirements, banking trends and practices particularly as they apply to the extension of credit
- Strong negotiation skills with a collaborative approach to business issue resolution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing and fostering relationships
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field preferred
As Senior Credit Manager Middle Markets , you’ll be responsible for managing the credit risks in a prudentially sound manner consistent with the Bank’s Risk Appetite and Credit Risk Policy framework and ensuring that the resultant credit decision balances sound and profitable growth against acceptable risk.
Responsibilities:
- Actively promote the utilization of innovative and creative solutions to ensure balanced transaction approvals and fully embrace the customer service standards expected of all Bendigo & Adelaide Bank employees
- Maintain strong working relationships with Business units and the Bank’s customers without compromising the independence and objectivity of the position
- Actively encourage and participate in transaction workshopping for larger or more complex transactions
- Proactively seek to up-skill bankers through various training approaches and support the design, delivery, and content of credit/lending training courses
