Our client has been supporting families and individuals with aged care and disability services across Newcastle, Hunter and the Mid-North Coast for more than 30 years with in-home and community-based services.
Due to growth, we’re seeking a HR Officer to join their team in Coffs Harbour. Within this role you will assist the business with recruitment and retention strategy, compliance, workers compensation, and performance.
The Role
- Work closely with the team to assist with development and implementing recruitment attraction, selection, and retention strategies and processes
- Manage employee files for compliance requirements
- Assist with implementation of HR projects and initiatives arising from strategic planning and process improvement
- Provide service and advice to internal customers on a range of people-related matters including employment contracts and performance
- Manage workers compensation and return to work requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant degree qualifications and/or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience in human resources or people & culture functions including recruitment and selection, HR administration, and HR projects
- Computer skills in database systems and the Microsoft Office suite (spreadsheeting, word processing)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and promote a positive workplace culture
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
