Job Summary
The role exists to support businesses by providing the commercial team across Regions/ Countries in the Emerging Markets (EM) with a robust marketing plan related to Pharma CVS/CNS/Gastro/Ortho & Specialty products – Oncology/Biologics/Biosimilars/Critical Care Inj. products to enable effective sales. This is a critical role to support the current and future strategies of Emerging Markets.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Devise marketing plans, portfolio analysis, promotional strategy for branding of core products and enable regions in its implementation across EM.
- Develop global marketing guidelines for focus countries across EM.
- Address key marketing and business challenges in alignment with key stakeholders for Core brands and new introductions.
- Collaborate with regional teams to drive market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions.
- Undertake strategic market analysis with respect to competition, study key market dynamics and target groups to define appropriate go-to-market approach for the markets in partnership with business commercial teams to ensure successful launches.
- Continuously monitor launch performance and marketing/sales performance and build that into the marketing plans.
- Assess commercial capability gaps and strive to build appropriate capabilities for the field force, as well as for partners to ensure achievement of the growth plans / revenue targets for the business.
- Assist all regional stakeholders to undertake strategic market analysis with respect to competition, study key market dynamics and target groups to define appropriate go-to-market approach in partnership with business commercial teams to ensure successful launches.
- Work on critical regional & country projects from early stage strategizing till execution.
- Liaise with Regional & Country Heads, Marketing teams to assess the response to and suitability of current promotional material.
- Support new product launches in the region, participate and align cross-functional department and Country teams to facilitate continuous improvement and support for new product launches to ensure in-market launch effectiveness.
- Create a training calendar for the year and ensure maximum coverage of medical representatives & others on new marketing techniques & product USPs.
- Working on the field to guide the Country sales team, drive the business and build good relationship with KOLs
- Work with the countries to track sales force effectiveness (SFE).
Relevant Skills & Experience:
- Experience of over a 18-20 years with 5 years in international marketing and experience in key markets like Brazil, Mexico, APAC and South Africa.
- Creative & strong marketing skills.
- Preferred exposure to CVS/CNS/Onco/Biologics/Biosimilars marketing.
- Good Business Acumen.
- Impressive & demonstrated career record in a similar position at a similar level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to influence at a senior level, both internally and externally.
- Credible and confident communicator.
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Hands-on approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- High on energy and enthusiastic about achieving high levels of excellence.
- Willing to work and travel across time zones
