The Assistant Manager - Travel will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's travel needs. Key Responsibilities:
Travel Management:
- Oversee the organization’s travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and visas.
- Ensure all travel bookings comply with company policies and procedures.
- Manage travel budgets and optimize travel spending by negotiating rates and contracts with vendors.
Vendor Management:
- Maintain relationships with travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other travel service providers.
- Negotiate and secure favorable contracts and rates with vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance and address any service issues or discrepancies.
- Policy Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with corporate travel policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage travel risks, including security, health, and safety concerns for travelers.
- Implement and enforce travel-related policies and guidelines.
Travel Coordination & Support:
- Assist employees with travel-related inquiries and issues.
- Provide support for complex or last-minute travel changes.
- Coordinate group travel arrangements for company events, meetings, or conferences.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on travel spending, vendor performance, and policy compliance.
- Analyze travel data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
