When you join our Events Team, you’ll work closely with the Head of Conference & Events to provide efficient, flexible, and proactive support that ensures the smooth running of the business and events across the Council’s venues.
The Role:
You would be responsible for implementing and managing systems that are necessary to business operations, supporting business planning and operational management of all resources functions (procurement, risk, governance, recruitment, etc.), researching and implementing best practices across the department, and producing reports in line with Council Standing Orders.
Provision of timely and comprehensive financial administrative support across all stages of purchasing, billing, and payment cycles for general budget management (raising requisitions and purchase orders, processing journal transfers and accruals, accurately processing payments, and producing accurate budget information as required).
This is a fast-paced environment, and whether you are assisting with a last-minute booking or a long-term project, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly – handling front-of-house and back-of-house aspects with the same degree of attention.
We’re looking for someone with experience in the events or hospitality industry. Calm under pressure and adaptable, you’ll be highly organized, have strong administrative skills, and be excellent at working with others.
Excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to manage finances, are essential.
