POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of Business Development Subcontinent, the Senior Sales Manager – India, is responsible for guiding and nurturing the roll out of the new Indian office and is also appointed to provide leadership and mentoring of the Sales Manager – India.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven and strategic-minded individual to make a significant impact on the growth and success of VANITY GROUP within the regions of India and further subcontinent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Develop, lead and drive the expansion of the India portfolio by securing new clients, adhering to designated territory budgets, and actively pursuing opportunities for growth.
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and trends, proactively building a pipeline of future business to sustain long-term success.
- Lead project management as required within the territory, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with company objectives.
- Assume ownership of the entire sales lifecycle, from initial outreach to product delivery, utilising various channels such as and other platforms to engage decision-makers effectively.
- Deliver compelling and tailored sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the strong alignment between our brands and theirs to foster trust and interest.
- Facilitate sample shipments to clients within the territory, tracking deliveries to ensure timely receipt and satisfaction.
TEAM MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP
- Lead and manage all corporate contracts including start and end dates, renewal dates, agreed pricing structure, invoices corresponding to contracted prices, etc
- Ensure Sales team members are across all contracts with designated regions
- Lead, motivate and mentor entire Singapore team to ensure maximum output of team members and to provide continued support daily
- Hold regular one on ones and team meetings to ensure team are focused and meeting their KPI’s
- Undertake 6 monthly performance reviews for each team member providing feedback where possible
- Actively engage and collaborate with Executive team internally to ensure business objectives are adhered to and achieve common goals
️ ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Identify upselling opportunities with existing hotel partners to drive revenue growth – assess product gaps, renewal opportunities, etc
- Ensure regular touch points/call cycles with key accounts and high revenue clients and be across any personnel changes that may impact the contract – strategically schedule meetings, calls, emails, and face to face interactions
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and clients through regular meetings, industry knowledge exposure, and celebrating key client wins
- Provide our Marketing Team key partnership opportunities and collaborate to build events and activations
- Maintain detailed knowledge of VANITY GROUP’s brand portfolio and have contingency brand plans in place for hotel renewals
✏️ SALES ADMINISTRATION
- Complete all administrative tasks to business standards and all administrative procedures are met
- Ensure all sampling is aligned with brand expectations and packing guide
- Responsible for licensing brand targets to be met within their contract period
- Identify brand gaps across our portfolio
- Create and maintain customer folders in Internal Drive
- Ensure Salesforce data has accurate records and detailed information on all client accounts and carry out regular audits across Salesforce to ensure all data is clean and relevant
- When securing New Clients; forecast stock to Demand Planner
- When securing New Clients; ensure account, hotel, delivery and contact details are accurately set up and sent to SAP/Systems Team
- Review expiring and slow-moving inventory, and identify avenues where this can be sold
FINANCIALS
- Review current pricing with Pricing Team and implement CPI increases where necessary
- Identify standard pricing gaps across our portfolio with feedback given to COO/Group CFO and Pricing Manager
- Develop monthly reporting to track sales to target and revenue growth
- In conjunction with COO & Head of Business Development Subcontinent, develop and create team KPI’s for India team
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and motivational spirit with stakeholders at all times
- Working and collaborating with cross functional teams to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines
- Be a confident decision maker in situations of ambiguity and clearly conveying the reasoning for your decision
- Manage upwards, articulating delays/roadblocks to Head of Business Development Subcontinent with a solution focused approach
- Lead through the Company’s values, coaching, supporting, and providing feedback to the team when required
⭐ ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 6 years proven experience in sales or account management role
- Previous proven experience in high pressure sales environment with FMCG, hospitality or beauty
- Advanced skills in MS Office with a focus on excel
- Previous experience in a high SKU/3PL environment
- Strong team management experience is essential
- Experience delivering sales and product presentations at Executive level
- Individualised sales approach – develops strong understanding of client needs and aligns solutions according to this
