To set out the vision for the company community, create a design and plan to take it forward and execute
the plan working collaboratively with the team and volunteers from within the community itself.
In doing this to add significant value to community members and to the company itself.
Key Objectives
- Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets, including brand development, sales campaigns and community engagement
- Establish brand and editorial guidelines
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and develop website content, style and layout
- Create, source, edit, collate and publish engaging content, maximizing use of new technologies to do this in a powerful and highly efficient manner
- Edit, proofread and improve writers posts e.g. content elements produced within the Company
- Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency and adherence to the editorial guidelines
- Optimize content according to SEO
- In conjunction with marketing, analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
- In conjunction with marketing, manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
- Develop and manage and editorial calendar
- Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
- Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audiences attention
Requirements and skills
- An absolute passion for the cause that Company is pursuing gender equity at work and beyond
- Proven work experience as a Content manager
- Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress
- Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
- Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Familiarity with social media
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- BSc degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field
