On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Head of Infrastructure based in Edinburgh (hybrid) for an initial contract length of 12 months.

Key responsibilities:
- This is a Technology Leadership role, responsible for the leadership of a broad range of infrastructure technologies with teams based in the UK and India. The newly appointed Head of Infrastructure Engineering will be a leadership appointment with team responsibility of up to circa 60 employees which will include permanent, contract and third party resources based both near shore and off shore in India. In terms of budget responsibility the appointed individual will have full P&L control of a £20 million cost centre.
- Leadership and Direction: Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department.
- Improvement / Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements.
- Infrastructure and Network Development and Maintenance: Direct and oversee infrastructure developments and maintenance to ensure business requirements can be met.
- Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization: Drive advances in technologies and architectures to increase the value delivered by technology and digital capabilities.
- Performance Management: Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility.
- Operational Compliance: Ensure that business activities within the area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures to minimize business risk and to protect the reputation of the organization.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and/or deliver elements of a strategic planning system with guidance from senior colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive Technology Leadership experience of Infrastructure teams/technologies.
- Ability and credibility to lead and guide both in house and third party teams - including offshore teams.
- Proven track record in third party vendor engagement and management.
