Job Description:
We are currently looking for a talented SAP Project Manager to join one of our esteemed clients. This role involves leading a high-performing SAP implementation team, including technical consultants, functional consultants, solution architects, QA engineers, and project managers. As an SAP Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing SAP S/4 HANA upgrades and ensuring the success of the company's projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed project plan that outlines the scope, timelines, resources, and milestones for the SAP S/4 HANA upgrade.
- Define the project objectives and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Allocate and manage resources efficiently, including both internal teams and external consultants or vendors.
- Lead and motivate the project team, fostering a collaborative environment to meet project goals.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing project updates and managing expectations.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and address concerns or changes.
- Identify potential risks associated with the SAP S/4 HANA upgrade and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Continuously monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Oversee the project budget, ensuring that the upgrade stays within financial constraints.
- Monitor and report on expenditures, making adjustments as needed to avoid overruns.
- Ensure that quality standards are met throughout the project, from initial planning to final implementation.
- Oversee the testing processes, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the new system meets business requirements.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for end-users, ensuring smooth adaptation to the new SAP S/4 HANA system.
- Lead change management efforts to minimize resistance and maximize user adoption and proficiency.
- Oversee the migration of data from the current SAP system to SAP S/4 HANA, ensuring accuracy and minimal data loss.
- Work closely with technical teams to address any challenges encountered during the migration process.
- Ensure that the upgrade complies with industry standards, legal requirements, and SAP best practices.
- Stay updated with SAP developments to recommend further improvements or updates post-upgrade.
- Provide ongoing support after the implementation, addressing any issues or enhancements needed.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of the project and identify lessons learned for future initiatives.
Requirements:
- Professional certifications in project management (such as PMP or PRINCE2) are desirable.
- SAP-specific certifications or training, especially in SAP S/4 HANA, are advantageous.
- Proven experience as a project manager, ideally with a focus on SAP implementations or upgrades.
- Experience with SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA migrations or similar large-scale ERP transformation projects.
- Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Strong understanding of SAP systems, particularly S/4 HANA, and its integration with other business systems.
- Familiarity with SAP modules relevant to the organization’s processes (such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, etc.).
- Knowledge of SAP implementation methodologies, like ASAP or Activate.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and collaboration.
- Experience in change management, with the ability to drive adoption of new systems and processes.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs to various user groups.
- Skills in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and best practices in SAP projects.
- Experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting.
- Ability to optimize resources and costs for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and business needs.
- Resilience and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Understanding of global business practices and multi-cultural considerations, especially for multinational organizations.

- Good communication skills (written and verbal) and proven team player.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top university.
- Ability to work within the GMT+8 time zone.
