ITIL Service Designer/Architect
The Company:
At Amber Labs, we are a cutting-edge UK and European technology consultancy that prioritises empowering autonomy, promoting experimentation, and facilitating rapid learning to provide exceptional value to our clients. Our company culture is centred around collaboration, where all colleagues, regardless of their role, work together to minimise risk and shorten delivery times. Our team consists of highly-skilled cross-functional consultants, analysts, and support staff.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Service Designer/Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing end-to-end services that meet the complex needs of our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders, including military personnel, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure our services enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
The Service Designer/Architect role focuses on the service to be offered, specifically the service offering that will be made available to the end user via the service catalogue. The emphasis is on translating client requirements into actionable designs for access, fulfilment, and support needed for users to consume the technical service provided.
You will have worked in complex service chains where responsibilities are disaggregated across more than one domain of control, involving a combination of different providers engaged in service provision, both in-house and external organizations as typified by desegregated supply chains.
Experience with a combination of agile and waterfall project delivery methods is essential, along with exposure to GDS standards for service design and delivery. ITIL 3/4 experience beyond foundational level is required, with at least 5 years in this role and exposure to various projects in both the private and public sectors. A strong knowledge of ITSM and ITOM operating models and tooling capabilities, particularly ServiceNow, is necessary. You should also have experience in workflow mapping, process modelling, and process design in back office service delivery, including configuring ITSM tools to catalogue, publish, and fulfil service offerings.
Benefits:
Join a rapidly expanding start-up where personal growth is a part of our DNA. Benefit from a flexible work environment focused on deliverable outcomes. Receive private medical insurance through Aviva. Enjoy the benefits of a company pension plan through Nest. 25 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays. Access Perkbox, a global employee rewards platform offering discounts, perks, and wellness resources. Participate in a generous employee referral program. A highly collaborative and collegial environment with opportunities for career advancement. Be encouraged to take bold steps and embrace a mindset of experimentation. Our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion includes valuing the unique experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds of all employees and creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. We prohibit all forms of harassment, bullying, discrimination, and victimisation and promote a culture of dignity and respect for all. All new hires are educated on our Diversity and Inclusion policies to ensure awareness of their rights and responsibilities in creating a safe and inclusive workplace.
This role at Amber Labs is a FTC position, and all employees are required to meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.
What Happens Next?
Our Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch to advise you on the next steps. We have a two-stage interview process for most of our consultants. In certain cases, we may include a third and final stage, which is a conversation with the company Partners. This will only be considered if deemed necessary.
