Additionally, he/she must stay updated on industry developments and global economic trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks.
Principle Accountabilities:
Strategic Planning :
• Develop and implement the international business strategy for automotive batteries, aligning it with the overall organizational goals.
• Identify and evaluate market trends, competition, and potential business opportunities to drive growth.
Market Expansion:
• Lead the market research and analysis to identify new international market with growth potential.
• Develop market entry strategy and expansion plans to increase the presence of automotive batteries in target regions
Partnership and Alliance:
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships, collaborations and alliance with key stakeholders, distributors and business partners in international market.
• Negotiate and manage international contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets and market share objectives in international markets.
• Oversee the development and implementation of pricing strategies, promotional activities, and sales campaigns.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with international regulations, standards and certification for automotive batteries in different markets.
• Work closely with legal and regulatory affairs teams to navigate complex international trade regulations.
Team Leadership:
• Build and lead a high-performing international business team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and achievement.
Supply Chain Management:
• Oversee the international supply chain, including logistics inventory management and distribution channel.
• Optimize supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery, cost effectiveness, and high-quality product.
Skills and Knowledge
Graduate in any discipline and MBA.
Relevant Experience:
• 20-25 years’ experience in managing Sales & Developing business
• Should have worked at least 10-15 years in Automotive Spare parts/Battery/Car Care/Auto parts Industry
• Should have handled at 10-15 years International Business in Automotive Battery
• Must have strong market knowledge of Africa/South Asia/South East Asia/GCC
