We are currently recruiting for an Oracle Applications DBA with architecture experience, ideally including the ability to upgrade between Oracle versions and restore databases.

Regarding Apps and DB’s Remediation:
- Advise on and Install Dev tools on Management server, SQL developer, etc.
- Design and implement a single VM Dev environment for Oracle 12c which can be cloned and deployed multiple times.
- Configure and test connection from dev tools to new DB - 12c.
- Create DB instance and restore Specific application DB (Supplied DB will be Oracle 10g Version).
- Design and implement a single VM Dev environment for Oracle 19c which can be cloned and deployed multiple times.
- Investigate and advise on requirements to migrate the DB from the above 10g Version to 12c.
- For 19c – Advise on and Install Dev tools on Management server, SQL developer, etc.
- Configure and test connection from dev tools to new DB.
- Specific application Oracle DB upgrade from 10g to 12c.
- Migrate DB from 12c to 19c with all remediation’s in place.
- In 12c – Remove CDC Schema in the Specific application DB.
- Upgrade Oracle 19c.
- Import Specific application Data from supplied backup.
Specific application DBA Pre-Prod Tasks:
- Design and present options to provide an internal Oracle 19c Database platform (Single Instance, HA, Clustered).
- All options to include Backup/Restore and offsite DR capabilities.
- Developer/DBA tools.
- Patching (OS and Database).
- Oracle Licensing Costs and related costs.
- Database Level Encryption (Options around day 1 implementation or future implementation).
- Database Archiving Strategy.
- Document Design HLD.
- Document Design LLD.
- Implement Design.
- Carry out Backup/Restore/Failover/DR functional tests.
