Commercial CRM & Online Marketing Executive
Reporting of the Role:
This role reports to Head of Commercial CRM & Online Marketing.
Overview of job:
The mission of Marketing at Global is to create, nurture and grow some of the UK’s most loved media brands in order to help Global achieve its immediate business goals, as well as making sure we embrace a brave, new digital future.
The Commercial Marketing Team has a B2B (Business to Business) responsibility to bring the Global Brand to life for Marketing Stakeholders at the world’s leading brands, Media agencies and Outdoor Specialist agencies via a range of marketing channels and disciplines.
The role of the Commercial CRM & On-line Marketing Executive is to convey the Global Brand and Product marketing messages to the B2B audience as effectively as possible predominantly using the website & e-mail Marketing channels as well as managing the integration of our Social & events led strategies into the website. Key to success of this function is the use of some of the leading Marketing Automation software to help develop and nurture the B2B contact database as well as create market leading drip campaigns to help generate and nurture leads for the Local and National Sales team.

Measures of success:
In the first few months, you would have:
- Demonstrated a knowledge of Pardot, The Commercial Hub (Mediafly), Showpad and the website CMS platforms (Wordpress).
- Gotten under the skin of Showpad and the Commercial Hub and liaised with the senior stakeholders involved in the platform, establishing yourself as the key contact for support and training.
- Familiarised yourself and taken ownership of the commercial PAID activity.
- Started to become proficient with the website reporting software Google Analytics so that you can easily report back on traffic stats to campaign landing pages.
- Built and sent your first Pardot campaign, working with Senior Exec.
- Introduced yourselves to our third-party agencies that manage a variety of activities across SEO, Paid and web development.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Manage the Showpad and Commercial Hub sales enablement platform, working with senior stakeholders across marketing and sales to manage content upload, training and reporting.
- Manage PAID campaigns across LinkedIn and META platforms to support marketing campaigns.
- Deliver targets with the Commercial Marketing Teams to keep the Global B2B website updated with the latest content.
- Work with SEO consultants to deliver on the SEM strategy to ensure global.com continues to attract business generating traffic and leads.
- Manage the distribution of Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) using Pardot (including gathering and writing content, sharing for approvals with adequate time to review and compile reports to monitor response rates).
- Work with the Sales teams to generate leads and track campaign effectiveness.
- Website, Showpad & Intranet management and maintenance.
- Salesforce/Pardot strategy & integration to ensure accurate ROI Tracking across all Marketing Activity.
- Campaign management including Automated Marketing implementation.
- CRM Database Growth Tracking & Management.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting in a timely and efficient manner.
- Build and maintain great business partner relationships across your relevant area and with external clients.
- Clear understanding of budget constraints for all work.
- Deliver all work to the highest possible quality output in line with Global brand guidelines and copywriting excellence.
What you will need:
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:
- Digital savvy, with a keen desire and ability to use and integrate new technologies and systems into the Marketing function.
- An understanding of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and its importance in driving business generating traffic.
- At least 2 years working experience in commercial ad marketing role, in a medium size company/multinational environment, preferably B2B.
- Must have strong MS Office (or Mac equivalent) skills, especially Excel.
- Online copywriting experience, ideally across websites and PPC adverts.
- Experience of working with Salesforce and/or integrated Marketing Automation software.
- Experience of working with CMS platforms such as Wordpress.
- Applies the principles and techniques of project planning to manage multiple projects and work streams. Able to work effectively without reliance upon hierarchical management structures.
- Knowledge of media market.
- Strong communication skills with a diverse audience.
- Able to identify potential problems, evaluate a range of solutions and put measures in place to overcome them.
- Basic understanding of HTML preferred but not vital.
