Role Summary:
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the technical and business aspects of IT product development. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring that the product meets the needs of its users and aligns with the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Elicit, analyze business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project goals and deliverables.
SOW & Scope Definition:
- SOW starts with getting the scope of projects or initiatives, including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements, with inputs from clients as well as aligning Internal team goals and work.
- Document all critical information in project charters or scope statements, ensuring everyone is aligned on project expectations.
- The SOW is then enhanced based on feedback from Clients and/or Tech Team with specific notes on timeline, functionality, and deliverables. This also includes tracking and following up with all teams, until the SOW is signed off. There needs to be special focus on ensuring there is no scope creep during the entire period from discussion phase and final sign off.
Document Control:
- Establishing document management processes to organize, store, and track project-related documents, ensuring that they are easily accessible and properly archived once approved.
- Outline and listing of all products — comprehensive inventory of all the products offered by the company to provide a high-level overview of the offerings available to prospective clients and existing customers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive product descriptions, technical specifications, usage guidelines, and any other relevant details that will help customers or internal stakeholders understand what each product offers. The product description should outline precisely what it is, how it functions, reports to be expected, etc.
- Constant Update & Refresh. Ensure that the product and document list is regularly updated to reflect any changes, or additions, of products.
Enhancements & Customization:
- To work closely with internal teams across Product team, Delivery managers, Key Account Managers and Creative Team, to capture and update enhancements or customizations, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.
- Support with Analysis: BA assist the Product Owners in analysing business needs, user feedback, data analysis, to identify opportunities for enhancements or customizations to existing systems, processes, or products. This involves understanding user pain points and identifying ways to improve efficiency, functionality, and user experience.
- Validation: Help Product Owners & Tech team when they evaluate and validate the new enhancements and customizations before deployment. BA's ensure the changes suggested function as intended and do not introduce unintended consequences of existing scope.
Market Research:
- Support Product owners to conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape related to new product development or feature enhancements.
- Product Requirements Definition: Working closely with product managers, stakeholders, and development teams to define detailed requirements for new products or features, including functionality, usability, and performance criteria.
Updating Product Catalogue:
- Keeping the product Catalogue fresh and up-to-date based on the new features and enhancements. This will ensure accuracy and relevance for both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to think strategically and align business requirements with product goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills. Must be able to translate complex concepts into simple written forms.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT product development environment.
- Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are a plus.
- Experience in the Gaming industry will be highly advantageous..
