Job Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced person as a Product Strategy Head to lead their product strategy and development initiatives across all verticals including faucets, sanitaryware, shower enclosures, wellness solutions, and related products. The company offers a wide range of over 200+ products covering various segments within the industry. The ideal person should have a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer trends, and product lifecycle management to drive the growth and profitability of our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Tracking:
- Identify key products which have become either slow moving or non performing and ascertain the key reasons why after meeting key stakeholders – end users, dealers / partners,.
- Develop a clear strategy to overcome these challenges which is communicated to all relevant stakeholders in the HO & various Zones and monitor KPIs to track performance and measure success against targets.
- Understand and identify the accurate performance of our competitors to produce and up to date market share analysis for our key products across the range.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to anticipate market trends and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and market dynamics.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape in the sanitary and faucet industry.
Product Development:
- Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and development of new products from inception to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market demands and company capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to define product requirements and roadmap.
Market Analysis & Consumer Insights:
- Analyze market data, customer feedback, and sales performance to evaluate the success of existing products and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
- Drive product pricing strategies based on market analysis, cost considerations, and competitive positioning to maximize revenue and profitability.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish strong relationships with key suppliers, Dealer partners, end clients and industry stakeholders to facilitate product innovation, product feedback and strategic collaborations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Skill Set
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15-18 years of progressive experience in product management, preferably within the sanitary and faucet industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing product portfolios, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
