Responsibilities and Duties
Working as the Energy Centre Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the reliable delivery of heat, chill, and power to customers
- Leading and managing a team of engineers
- Providing HSE leadership
- Managing the financial delivery of the site
- Developing maintenance & operational strategies in line with the wider business
- Managing maintenance contracts
- Identifying and analysing plant issues to improve plant reliability & availability
- Managing and monitoring contractor performance
Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally qualified with an ONC / HNC / HND in a relevant engineering field
- IOSH or equivalent is a must
- At least five years' experience in a similar role from a similar industry such as CHP, Energy from Waste, Biomass, etc.
- Experience in commercial contract management
- Set & deliver strategic decisions
- Authorised Engineer status
Personal Skills
The Energy Centre Manager role would suit someone who is:
- Experienced with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
