Job Summary
We are delighted to be assisting a key strategic partner with the recruitment of a new Chief People Officer for a nationally recognised Investment & Wealth Management company based in Birmingham. Our client is a leading player in the investment sector, known for its excellence in client service and innovative financial solutions. As they continue to grow and evolve, they are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief People Officer to lead their human resources function and drive strategic people initiatives.
Key Roles:
- People Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and enhances its overall organisational effectiveness.
- Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the company attracts, nurtures, and retains top talent in the investment and wealth management sector.
- Organisational Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive organisational culture that supports employee engagement, satisfaction, and performance, while promoting the company’s values and mission.
- Leadership Support: Provide strategic HR leadership and support to senior management and other departments, ensuring alignment between people initiatives and business goals.
- HR Operations: Manage all aspects of HR operations, including policies, procedures, and compliance, ensuring they meet legal requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and Execute People Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic HR plan that supports the firm’s growth and organisational objectives. Align people practices with business goals to enhance overall effectiveness and drive success.
- Enhance Talent Acquisition and Development: Oversee recruitment processes and talent development programmes to attract and retain high-calibre professionals. Implement career development initiatives to support employee growth and career progression.
- Promote Organisational Culture: Drive initiatives that enhance the company’s culture, promoting values such as inclusion, collaboration, and high performance. Develop programmes that improve employee engagement and foster a positive work environment.
- Provide Strategic HR Leadership: Offer guidance and support to senior management on HR-related matters, including organisational design, change management, and leadership development. Ensure that HR strategies and initiatives align with the firm’s business objectives.
- Ensure HR Compliance and Best Practices: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Implement and manage HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership role, ideally as Chief People Officer or similar, within the investment and wealth management or a related financial services sector.
- Proven track record in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business goals and drive organisational success.
- Strong expertise in talent management, including recruitment, development, and retention strategies, with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organisation and drive a positive workplace culture.
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices, with a proven ability to ensure compliance and implement effective HR solutions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £110,000.00 per year
