As the Finance Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will report directly to the Finance Director in the UAE and will be responsible for managing audit processes, transfer pricing, corporate tax, VAT compliance, and other financial-related compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Oversight:
- Oversee and manage financial compliance activities across the region, ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assess compliance risks, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
Audit Management:
- Coordinate and manage external audits, including financial and tax audits.
- Prepare and provide necessary documentation and information to auditors.
- Ensure timely completion of audit processes and address any findings or recommendations.
Transfer Pricing:
- Coordinate with tax authorities and external advisors on transfer pricing matters.
Corporate Tax and VAT Compliance:
- Prepare and file corporate tax and VAT returns for all relevant jurisdictions.
- Advise on corporate tax and VAT implications of business transactions and guide tax-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including withholding tax and other relevant taxes.
Company Secretarial Matters:
- Manage company secretarial functions, including trade license renewals, annual return submissions, and other statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with company law requirements and maintain accurate corporate records.
Internal Controls:
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Review and monitor internal controls for effectiveness and compliance.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Master's degree or Professional Qualification in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar field.
- Proven experience in financial compliance, audit management, or tax compliance in the Middle East or Europe region.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax laws.
- In-depth knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
- Experience working remotely and adapting to different time zones.
