About you:
We are seeking a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for developing and monitoring our presence across social media platforms. If you are someone with an eye for creativity and the technical expertise to develop various media platforms, then we would love to hear from you!
This is a 6 month maternity cover fixed term contract.
The Role:
The Social Media Manager role is pivotal in connecting with new audiences and engaging with our existing base through compelling social media initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage social media platforms in a B2C environment, possess fantastic communication skills and bring a strong sense of humour to the table.
Day to day duties:
- Planning, developing and managing organic content across all social media channels, leading the continued development of our social media strategy.
- Working alongside our Digital Marketing Manager to implement and project manage paid social media campaigns to reach new audiences and drive engagement.
- Providing regular reporting and analysis across our social media channels.
- Using social media monitoring tools to identify trends and gather insights.
- Becoming an extension of our company brand to connect with existing customers and acquire new ones, responding to customer comments on social media posts, working closely with our business functions.
- Creating captivating content for our social media sites which includes blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content.
- Working closely with key internal stakeholders, supporting each other and understanding needs/requirements in relation to our social media platforms, including support for product releases, marketing campaigns or other branded messages.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms.
- Solid experience and competency in writing strategies and content for various social media platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including copywriting.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management skills, a commercial mindset, and an ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience and knowledge of using social media analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to measure performance and report on key metrics.
- A creative flair whilst being data-driven and scientific approach to marketing.
- Excellent time management skills and able to demonstrate meeting tight and agile deadlines.
- Experience and strong understanding of SEO and SEM principles.
- Knowledge of setting up and managing paid social media advertising campaigns.
- Excellent problem-solving techniques.
- Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to effectively manage demanding deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Working remotely as part of a small team.
Desirable:
- Graphic design capability and able to use Photoshop, Canva etc.
- Hootsuite social marketing, Meta Blueprint, Google Digital Garage.
- Experience working within the Broadband / Telecoms industry.
Qualifications:
- BSC Marketing Management or Media Studies communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- GCSEs in Mathematics, English and IT minimum Grade 4 or above.
