About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager who will create and lead our clients’ SEO activity, developing and executing our strategy in line with client's objectives. You'll be tracking and reporting on performance according to relevant targets and KPIs along with investigating and troubleshooting where necessary. As the SEO Manager, you will help support across both technical and content initiatives and help to train more junior members of the team. Some of the ways you'll contribute to the team include:
- Implementing content marketing activities to meet our client’s performance goals
- Accountable for ensuring all work is completed on time and to a high standard
- Staying up to date with industry trends and SEO content best practices, identifying strategies that are applicable to our clients and leading the implementation of these
- Leading and supporting SEO technical strategies and implementations for clients’ sites
- Responsible for performance analysis and understanding the ‘why’
- Analysing issues/opportunities, whilst providing and implementing recommendations
- Leading regular client calls to discuss performance and actions
- Attending client meetings and taking an active role in presenting, asking appropriate questions and contributing to discussions
- Supporting junior members of the team with training
Summiteers are asked to attend our office in the C4DI complex in Hull, Fruit Market 2 days per week, the rest of the week can be done from home. For the right candidate, we may also consider greater flexibility around office time.
About You
As our SEO Manager, you will have strong communication skills and a minimum of 3+ years’ experience managing organic marketing activity in either a client or agency environment. You will be required to manage and prioritise your own workload, with keen attention to detail and a strong focus on objectives. You'll be self-motivated, willing to learn and improve with the ability to adapt to situations and work effectively with teams. Together with:
- A track record of analysing performance issues and opportunities, including implementation of recommendations
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Tracking and reporting experience with analytics packages such as GA
- Auditing our clients’ and/or competitors’ websites to determine areas of focus for optimisation or content creation
- Producing, editing, and publishing content on our client’s websites, including ecommerce content, blog articles/editorial content, or campaigns
- A problem solver who loves to investigate SEO issues and find answers
- Engaged in the SEO industry and actively exploring new changes, features, and technology to help stay ahead
- Has a test and learn attitude to improving SEO performance
