An opportunity has arisen within an established company in the HVAC engineering and customer service industry who are recruiting for a branch assistant to join their team. Based in the Emerson's Green area of Bristol, this position will be working full-time Monday to Friday on a permanent basis. You will be part of an upbeat and friendly team in a modern working environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Keeping up to date with all company products, training, sales initiatives, and promotions to effectively inform customers.
- Accurately processing and picking order requests for stock items for customer collection or delivery.
- Building excellent working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers in person, by telephone, and by email.
- Ensuring all customer requests, orders, and complaints are dealt with effectively and timely to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Preparing the branch trade counter and customer area to ensure it is fully stocked, clean, tidy, and effectively presents the products.
- Serving customers at the trade counter in line with company requirements and standards.
- Raising sales quotations for customers at competitive prices from preferred suppliers and providing necessary follow-up calls to complete orders.
- Effectively sourcing and ordering non-stocked items.
- Maintaining stock levels to prescribed levels and ensuring stock inventory is always correct. Actively participating in stock take activities throughout the year.
- Participating in the call-out rota, responding promptly and effectively to any urgent issues.
This position requires an individual with confident customer service skills and previous experience in a busy environment demonstrating the ability to prioritize workload. This role is ideal for someone with experience as a branch assistant, branch administrator, or administrator. Trade counter or supplier-based experience would be beneficial.
