Hatton Traffic Management is a leading provider of traffic management services across the UK. Established in 1976, Hatton has developed into a major force within the highways, rail and utilities sectors, working closely with our clients as a key part of their integrated supply chain. In addition, we have a significant Events division providing traffic management services for large events such as the Great North Run.
We are now looking for a Sales & Marketing Administrator to join our team. You will be based at our Head Office near Newcastle Upon Tyne but provide support for all our nine depots spread from Aberdeen in the North to Wembley in the South.
The successful candidate must have an excellent telephone manner, a high standard of customer service, and be able to work independently (self-motivated).
This is a new role within the business, so a level of experience is required to craft the role together.
Please note that this is an office-based role.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Build target client list for each region based on defined sectors.
- Create/maintain CRM card for each target organisation.
- First (non-technical) contact with any new target clients.
- Market intelligence gathering on sales pipelines for target customers.
- Improve awareness of our company geographical coverage with national clients.
- Maintain a full sales funnel for each region's business development activity.
- Attend meetings with regional General Managers to build/maintain sales funnels.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic level competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience of using a CRM system would be an advantage.
- Confident learning new applications.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to focus on all areas of a task.
Additional Information
- Ideally working Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 16:30 (including ½ hour unpaid break), Friday 09:00 to 14:00 (no break). However, an alternative working pattern can be discussed at interview.
