Our Academy portfolio launched in 2023 and was designed to offer practical training courses by and for our distinguished legal client base. It is a part of the established Events department of in-house legal experts, who collectively deliver an annual calendar of 100+ events and award ceremonies. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Academy team and help grow this product into a much bigger service line.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing research-driven and commercially viable B2B training courses, working with our faculty to compile a series of learning videos and bespoke workshops for course participants.
The successful candidate for this role will be commercially minded, highly organised, self-driven, and have a flare for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and produce market leading courses that offer practical insight across a range of sectors – including but not limited to, international arbitration, IP and Investigations law.
- Lead and project manage the full lifecycle of your courses, working closely with our in-house editorial teams to ensure content is cutting edge and of a high-level.
- Acquire and work with world-class faculty members to help lead and define the courses.
- Create clear and accurate storyboards for each course, and, working closely with our in-house videography team, consider new and innovative ways for the courses to be designed.
- Co-ordinate workshops for the course participants, acquiring relevant trainers for each, and then supervising and encouraging discussion throughout.
- Manage and maintain the LMS for your specific course, ensuring it is always up to date and that we frequently engage our student base.
- Write clear, concise and persuasive copy for the marketing campaigns.
- Conduct meetings with key players in the industry via phone, email and face-to-face to identify and understand market trends, as well as opportunities for future growth.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and must be able to meet deadlines
- A good business development acumen and commercially aware
- Degree in Law or equivalent work experience
- Self-starter, able to work well independently and as part of a team
