The Senior Finance Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire Finance organization and driving the financial health of the company. This position will work closely with the CFO and Finance Leaders to develop and execute strategic financial plans that align with the overall business objectives.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading system and project automations, ensuring compliance with statutory audits, and managing regulatory requirements across various government institutions including BIR, PEZA, SEC, and LGUs. This role will be crucial in optimizing financial processes and strategies to support the company’s growth.
The main responsibilities of a SENIOR FINANCE DIRECTOR include:
Strategic Leadership Function :
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support long-term business growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with the CFO and Finance Leaders to set financial goals and objectives.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities that will increase shareholder value, such as revenue and cost synergies between both organizations, its clients, as well as possible acquisitions or investments, and work with the core team from both sides to implement and integrate the targets.
Financial Operations:
- Lead and manage the finance team.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including financial statements, cash flow statements, and management reports.
- Oversee financial systems and processes, driving automation and efficiency improvements.
- Manage financial risks and implement effective internal controls.
- Analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance and Regulatory:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including BIR, PEZA, SEC, and LGUs.
- Oversee the preparation and management of statutory audits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
System and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement within the finance function.
- Lead the implementation of new financial systems and technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
To apply for the role, you must have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of well-established experience in a corporate finance with at least five (5) years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in leading financial system and project automations.
- Preferably coming from audit firms and has led multiple corporate finance audits.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office.
- Experienced in NetSuite implementation and management.
