Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established by the Queensland Government to design, deliver, operate and maintain long duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that will be the cornerstone for the transformation of the state’s energy system.
The organisation will drive delivery of world-class pumped hydro assets to provide the long-term storage and reliability needed to power Queensland’s clean energy future. The organisation will play a critical role in assisting the Queensland Government to meet its renewable energy targets and net zero emissions by 2050, supporting the shift in the Australian economy to a decarbonised energy system.
The Role
The Senior Advisor, Website and Digital Communications role services a range of internal clients to lead the creation, delivery and management of digital communication strategies to build brand salience in the renewable energy space and deliver important project information to communities.
This role would suit someone who feels confident working across all areas of the digital communication space and has a keen interest in creating engaging digital content including videos, website copy, eDMs and visual content.
Key Accountabilities
The key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop easy to understand, audience-focused content (including website copy, videos, blogs, visual media and eDMs) in consultation with subject matter experts to ensure Queensland Hydro communication objectives are achieved through digital media.
- Conceptualise and produce video content targeting a range of stakeholders for use across our internal and external channels. This includes filming and editing videos, including spokespeople, for social and traditional media publishing.
- Lead and manage the Queensland Hydro website content using content management systems (CMS).
- Manage the website, onboard a new website partner and project manage with colleagues a website rebuild project.
- Work with project teams to deliver external communication aligned with project objectives and Queensland Hydro’s broader communication program.
About you
- You will collaborate effectively with a positive, friendly, and confident attitude, engaging with people and stakeholders at all levels.
- You have more than 5 years’ experience in digital content planning, production and management.
- High-level experience working across modern content management systems and well-developed skills to comfortably manage web administration and content management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in using Google Analytics and other insight tools to set tags and develop reporting tools to provide reports that guide decision-making about content strategies and user behaviour.
- Demonstrated experience planning, filming, editing and producing engaging videos for both traditional and social media.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple pieces of work.
- Proficiency in a variety of content management systems, and photo and video content.
