Our client, Ausdocs Holdings Group owns and manages a number of GP medical centres across Queensland. Ausdocs pride themselves on supporting Australian doctors maintaining ownership of medical clinics for the benefit of the profession. The Ausdocs team have extensive experience in the establishment and efficient operational management and growth of GP Medical Centres across Queensland with further planned growth along the Eastern seaboard.
As a visionary in the industry, they are expanding and currently seeking a Chief Operations Officer to join their team. This new role will oversee operational facets of the Ausdocs Medical Practice business, in the areas of Business Management and Reporting, Compliance, Accounts, IT, Marketing, HR and Recruitment.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is part of the Senior executive team and assists with the implementation of group strategy with the CEO.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Chief Operations Officer to lead the operational expansion of Ausdocs GP clinics across Queensland and future locations. Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee operational facets of Ausdocs Medical Practice business in the areas of Business Management and Reporting, Compliance, Accounts, IT, Marketing, HR, Recruitment.
- Lead a team of Area Managers (Ams) to deliver on the business plans and manage a team of Practice Managers (PMs).
- Ensure standard operating processes are in place.
- As a member of the senior executive team, implement the group strategy with CEO.
- Set and achieve KPI’s and benchmarks for the business set in conjunction with CEO and AMs.
- Implement corporate culture and values. Promote continuous improvement “can do” attitude and positive work environment.
- Represent the Ausdocs Group at industry events and in the local community and promote our branding, values and ethics (some travel will be required).
Skills required for this role include:
- Demonstrable experience at a senior level across a variety of disciplines including operations and management.
- Qualifications in Business Management highly regarded.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and productively as part of a team.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Collaborate, negotiate and communicate with a range of audiences and stakeholders both internal and external.
- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
Preferred skills include:
- Demonstrable experience in the Medical Practice industry.
- Sound understanding of Medical Practice operational procedures and processes.
- Knowledge of government regulations, industry regulations, codes of ethics and best practices (eg. RACGP, AMA, AAPM, WHS, other) as it relates to the Medical Practice industry.
