Reporting Line
This position reports to the Minerals Director and oversees directly the Trade Services Operations Executive/s.
Primary Responsibilities
Controls and organizes the technical operations of the Trade Services; ensuring compliance against SGS policies and procedures, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 17020, Operational Integrity, and Minerals Business technical requirements and other company policies. In-charge in assisting the Minerals Director in growing the Minerals business.
Specific Responsibilities
Oversees all the trade-related services and operations of the Minerals business in accordance with the company policies and procedures, Safety, Security, and other international standards to which SGS subscribes. Ensures the operational requirements and performance targets of the Trade Services operations are achieved through proper manpower planning, work distribution, performance monitoring and reporting. Develops and recommends new services consistent with SGS competencies and follows client requirements. Assists the Minerals Director by providing technical inputs to specific customer requirements for the development and/or improvement of marketing design, strategies, plans and their implementation. Assists the Minerals Director in preparing the budget for his Operations that will complement budget targets. Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in contribution to departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
Qualifications
Profile
College graduate of any Engineering or Science course, preferably with license 8 years technical working experience or 5 years supervisory experience in an inspection / verification operations or equivalent track record.
Experience/Technical Knowledge
Excellent communication skills and people management skills. Keyboard skills; skilled in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Excellent leadership skills. Core (Integrity, Work Standard, Customer Service Orientation, Communication), Professional/Technical Knowledge, Functional (Organization skill, Evaluation/Problem Assessment, Attention to Details/ Quality orientation, and Judgment/ Problem-solving).
Language
Fluent in English and Filipino (both written and verbal)
