About the Role:
We are in search of a data-driven Content Editor to oversee all editorial components related to paid media, both social and native. The Content Editor will analyze article performance data and industry tools to craft weekly editorial calendars backed by research. They will work closely with paid media buyers to execute strategies while keeping up with the latest trends and working with our product development team to keep our systems updated.
We’re looking for someone who will act as the key representative for the paid media content team and, as such, needs strong communication skills to participate actively in meetings and provide valuable updates to management with ongoing feedback to writers. The ideal candidate will be a solutions-driven, self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative. They will have an entrepreneurial mentality, actively participating in the growth of our team and company.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage editorial calendar and article assignments for writers, edit and publish content in various formats.
- Work closely with paid media buyers and analysts to achieve paid media goals.
- Provide frequent feedback to writers and hold 1:1 and team meetings as needed.
- Be a vocal representative of the paid media content team in cross-team collaborative meetings.
- Create and execute on content strategy that meets platform editorial guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with teams across time zones.
- Complete regular competitive reviews of landscape.
- Track progress towards goals and meet deadlines.
- Work with product teams to make improvements to CMS and other editorial tools.
Preferred qualifications:
- Minimum of three years experience in online publishing or editorial work.
- Preferred experience in the paid media industry.
- Experience in Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, Baidu, etc.
- WordPress experience is an asset.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading and training cross-country teams are a plus.
- Creative eye for compelling images and headlines that drive performance with an understanding of image licensing and copyright laws.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape and prioritize workload.
- Experience with AI and adopting new technologies.
- Desire to continue learning about new industry developments and trends.
- Be solution-oriented, tackling problems as they arise.
