Purpose of the Job:
The Associate Data Analyst collects and analyses data to identify trends and provide Ki teams with valuable information that they can use to improve underwriting, operational and business practices.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Support Ki to make better business decisions using data and analytics.
- Carry out data analysis on Ki's internal and external data assets to drive improvement to Ki’s algorithmic underwriting, operational and business processes.
- Organise and transform data into comprehensible structures and information the business can use.
- Identify correlations and patterns by performing statistical analysis of data and data mining to extract information from Ki’s data assets.
- Use modern data analytical techniques and cloud-based tools to analyse and visualise data in easy-to-understand formats.
- Proficient in oral and written communication. Compiles analytical reports and conveys results to Ki stakeholders, serving as the primary contact between data and business users.
- Support the Data Analytics discipline and Ki data-platform teams to develop and implement best practices.
- Participate in the Data Analytics community within Ki and develop skills in line with our talent structure.

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: - Experience using languages such as Python and SQL to analyse datasets.
- Experience building dashboards in a modern BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, Plotly, Streamlit.
- Understanding of statistical techniques (such as regression, clustering, correlation analysis).
- Experience working in cloud native environments (especially GCP) would be a plus.
- Experience in designing and implementing data structures to ensure data is organised effectively and is easily consumable by a broader audience.
- Self-organised, good at documenting and communicating findings and approach.
- Excellent communicator, able to present findings to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Experience of working in the London and Lloyd’s insurance markets is desirable but not compulsory.
