Description
The Senior Functional Consultant will take full responsibility for managing all aspects of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system, owning the end-to-end CRM process. This role requires a consultative approach and involves developing and delivering best-in-class functionality, solution envisioning and design, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The consultant will be integral to both project delivery and the pre-sales process, providing expert guidance and support across various domains including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Field Service.
Key Responsibilities
System Management
- Manage all aspects of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end CRM process encompassing functionality such as Power Pages, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Field Service.
- Utilise the latest features of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to implement customer service, sales, field service, marketing, and other relevant functionalities.
Solution Development and Delivery
- Develop and deliver best-in-class functionality.
- Implement cutting-edge solutions using Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
- Provide high-quality documentation such as HLD, SDD.
- Provide mentoring and guidance on the usage of ADO and Agile methodologies.
- Provide leadership to a team of functional consultants.
- Communicate with business stakeholders and business analysts to ensure the solution design meets business requirements.
Relationship Management
- Maintain a “Trusted Advisor” relationship with customers.
- Identify opportunities for additional project work within the Microsoft CRM practice and other Codec teams.
- Key involvement in demonstrations, workshops and high-level client delivery - listening to client requirements and delivering accordingly.
- Provide input to tenders and bids during the pre-sales process.
- Prototype and demo solutions to potential customers.
Team Collaboration and Development
- Work with senior members of the CE Practice.
- Develop and implement operational improvements within the team.
- Assist in project planning, including estimating effort and allocating tasks.
Project Execution
- Work closely with SAs, PMs, technical and functional consultants.
- Ensure implementations align with the proposed design, best practices and overall standards.
Risk Management and Evaluation
- Identify project risks.
- Participate in defining risk mitigation and control activities.
- Evaluate new products and 3rd party components.
- Assess their fitness for purpose when the need arises.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
- Proficient in solution design and implementation using various Microsoft technologies.
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to maintain trusted advisory relationships and identify further project opportunities.
- Experience in agile and waterfall development environments.
- Strong project planning and risk management skills.
- Proven track record in resource management and team mentoring.
- Commitment to maintaining lean, relevant documentation.

- Confident communicator/presenter with ability to manage customer/stakeholder relationships.
- Comfortable leading workshops and working in a customer-facing role.
