Job Description
To support the Social Value Manager with community, client and resident engagement initiatives coupled with coordinating and delivering local employment and training opportunities in line with Property Services pillar and the Community Activity Investments. Ensuring that our own and recognised industry standards of approach to working in communities are met and exceeded.
To ensure we are involved in supporting worthwhile causes in innovative and resourceful ways, on an ongoing basis, in keeping with our Corporate Social Responsibility policy and to promote the United Living brand in a positive way, to existing and future customers and clients.
- Delivery of work experience opportunities in line with our client commitments
- Delivery of school engagement including attending careers events, employment related workshops such as but not limited to CV writing, interview techniques and preparing for work
- Prepare case studies for submission to the marketing team
- Promote our apprenticeship opportunities working in partnership with HR and Client/Sub-Contractors as required
- Support SV Manager and HR in the delivery of Apprenticeships
- Take the lead as the Community Champion for Refurbishment (South) and deliver against key targets
- Take the lead for Property Services (South) at the annual company Community Day working with Marketing, colleagues and Business Unit Directors to deliver a good suite of community activity and associate PR and positive marketing
- Maintain and update internal promotional boards, to provide staff with Community activity information
- Maintain a calendar of events that is published internally
- Produce a monthly report on community engagement and CSR items recording cashable and non-cashable benefits
- Produce quarterly Newsletters featuring CSR, Community Engagement and Resident Liaison articles. For distribution to clients and key stakeholders.
- Support colleagues in the planning, preparation and delivery of community events and initiatives tailored to suit each project. Liaise with clients and our Resident Liaison Officers, as relevant to support project teams in their working relationships.
- Organise community meetings and events at project inception and review improvements and working practices throughout the project.
- Support the SVM in the engagement with and contribution to local communities.
- Plus other duties relevant to community and social value delivery as required
Qualifications
- Able to work to deadlines
- Ability to work remotely as well as part of a team
- Good knowledge of client/partnership working
- People person (this role requires a lot of interaction with people from all walks of life and at all levels)
- Socially aware and commercially aware
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Excellent attention to detail
- Passionate about the impact of Social Value and Community activity
