This Account Director role will lead a Jack Health account team with client business, strategy, and goals across multiple programs. This position will work extensively with clients, operations, and strategy to oversee business development, selling of agency’s services, and overall fiscal health of account.
What you’ll be doing
Client Focus/Relationship Management
- Understands client’s business and business goals, and serves as a trusted advisor to drive effective solutions
- Advises, guides and counsels clients on solutions to their needs; works with agency partners to find cooperative solutions whenever possible
- Consistently demonstrates value and credibility from the client’s viewpoint
- Excels in presentations in front of the client and external partners, and is seen as a credible agency voice and a dynamic champion of extraordinary work
- Strives to exceed client expectations with the overall quality of the work (ideas and impact), yielding recognition from the industry and award shows
- Is able to effectively manage scope creep and out-of-scope requests
- Can push back while maintaining a positive relationship
- Thinks through challenges and starts to reframe / guide client expectations
Team Operations
- Ensures that an opportunity brief is developed to set the stage for strategy development
- Collaborates with Strategy and Creative to ensure all creative content and agency solutions address the business need
- A champion of extraordinary work — by providing inspiration, leadership, and expertise in the agency’s offerings
- Acts as subject matter expert on best practices, bringing to bear significant experience and insight daily
- Oversees collaboration of cross-disciplinary internal teams.
- Accountable for fiscal health of account(s) and overall revenue, and growth
- Mentors junior team relationship members, providing growth opportunities and ongoing guidance
Client Strategy/Thought Leadership
- Maintains a current and intensive knowledge of the client’s business to direct and contribute to their marketing and advertising plans, using knowledge to anticipate the need for strategic changes
- Represents the agency, effectively communicating and selling agency ideas and recommending solutions
- Partners with Strategy to develop and implement measurement metrics
Growth
- Identifies incremental opportunities for the team, lead proposals, additional scopes of work, staffing plans and eventual client communication
- Grows client revenue and oversees client profitability, resulting in year-over-year growth
- Leads new business opportunities through internal process: qualifying opportunities, lead / oversee pitch process, own deliverables (RFI, RFP or pitch deck)
- Connector for all agency practices at the inception of a project or proposal
Qualifications
- Experiential marketing agency experience
- Healthcare industry experience such as pharmaceuticals, health & wellness
