Digital Marketing Experience is REQUIRED for this role.
We are looking for a Group Account Director to lead all aspects in serving your assigned clients. You are a seasoned expert in Marketing, including deep digital marketing experience and acumen. You have an ability to inspire client engagement and fuel account growth. You will be the go-to client contact, owning the relationship and continuously building it. You are the voice of the client inside the agency, leading the internal agency team to ensure the client’s needs and goals are being met on every project. You will be accountable for providing an exceptional client experience across every interaction between the client and agency. You will be responsible for getting the client the best possible work at a profitable return for the agency. You will develop a thorough knowledge of the client’s business, the consumer and the marketplace.

Including, but not limited to:
- Serve as primary contact for both client and internal teams for all elements relative to your clients.
- Ensure agency team is successful with execution of entire client engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients along with day-to-day client contacts. Build confidence and credibility among key client contacts. Stay connected with clients throughout all stages of engagement.
- Work closely with Account Principal to lead the implementation of the account strategy.
- Ensure all creative and media work aligns with client’s brand and overall marketing strategy.
- Develop ongoing strategic recommendations that solve business objectives for your clients, above and beyond contracted client engagement.
- Partner with internal cross-functional experts to guide and advise client on various aspects of their complex digital marketing ecosystem. This may include, but not limited to: digital tactic recommendations/strategies, creation of detailed digital campaign tracking documents, campaign set-up, optimization recommendations, overall digital marketing troubleshooting and tracking / performance.
- Maintain deep understanding of your clients’ industry, consumer profiles and competitors.
- Prepare and present strategies, media plans and creative concepts at client meetings.
- Monitor account satisfaction, manage client account review and own client conflict resolution.
- Educate clients on additional agency capabilities, identify cross-sell opportunities and initiate new projects for client.
- Develop campaign/project proposals.
- Supervise strategic development and implementation of client programs across all aspects of client work.
- Consult with Creative Director on creative output and ensure alignment with strategic direction and client business goals.
- Be an advocate for the agency and advise the client on the optimal amount of time needed to develop the best work possible.
- Lead weekly client-facing status meetings.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to manage existing client revenue goals and projections, and manage individual client profitability.
- Responsible for final out-the-door billing.
- Create case studies for past campaigns.
- Prep for existing and new client pitches.
- Any other duties/responsibilities will be addressed as they arise and are needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with an ability to clearly, concisely and confidently articulate information and recommendations.
- Excellent presentation-building and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
- Advertising Agency experience is a must.
- Must have understanding of overall media landscape and experience launching multi-channel integrated campaigns, with an ability to demonstrate experience with and deep knowledge of digital media channels (programmatic, SEM, social).
- Team-oriented player and effective leader - ability to lead, inspire and collaborate with large cross-functional team. Willing to “roll up the sleeves” with a can-do attitude.
- Must have experience managing direct reports.
- A service-oriented mindset, focused on delivering high quality work, and always anticipating client and internal team needs.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
