As an Account Director you’ll be required to work in a fast-paced environment with confidence and enthusiasm, work across a portfolio of clients and with the Deputy and Head of Account Management.
As an Account Director you will report into the Deputy Head of Account Management and will be a line manager within the Account Management team.
Client Servicing
- Act as an account director with senior responsibility for a combination of musicals, plays and other live events/projects.
- Senior planning and strategy, working in collaboration with members of the other departments.
- Remain sufficiently informed and personally involved with the running of accounts, ensuring competent and creative planning, the highest quality of service and a strong client/agency relationship.
- Continual proactivity on campaigns; developing initiatives and ideas in collaboration with other members of the account team to provide clients with exciting, innovative and results-driven campaigns.
- Ultimate responsibility for campaign budgets, billing and delivering a profitable service.
- Promote the expansion of business with existing clients and generating new business leads within the industry.
- Ensure pitches are effectively planned and staffed with clear management of timelines and expectations, working collaboratively across the agency to deliver this.
- Provide account team leadership, ensuring effective communication with all members of the account team.
Operations
- Support the deputy and head of account management by undertaking some departmental meetings and initiatives.
Team Development
- Champion the development and career progression of your direct reports, holding regular one-to-ones, setting and monitoring objectives, identifying skills gaps and proposing training opportunities.
- Carry out bi-annual appraisals with your direct reports to ensure they are staying highly motivated and are feeling stretched in their role.
- Provide support and guidance to team members facing challenges, whether personal or professional.
- Foster a culture of trust and openness where team members feel comfortable discussing their concerns.
- Act as a mentor to line reports, providing guidance on best practices and career advice and supporting their professional growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement, encouraging team members to seek out new challenges and opportunities.
